Notes & Nuances
Victorioso by Maison Alhambra is clearly chasing the Invictus Victory Elixir vibe. The opening is a blast of lemon and peppery incense. It's a bit rough around the edges compared to the original; you can sense the budget a little more. The heart smooths out with lavender and vanilla, getting closer to the creamy sweetness of Victory Elixir. The dry down is where it shines, though. The tonka, patchouli, and sandalwood create a warm, ambery base. I'd say it's about 92% similar to the OG. It lacks some of the original's refined smoothness, but the core DNA is there. I get a solid 7-8 hours on skin with moderate projection for the first 2 hours. It projects a nice scent bubble without being obnoxious. It becomes a skin scent after 4 hours or so, but it's still noticeable. that's a win.
Is it Worth It?
It’s a solid daily driver for cooler weather, dates, or evenings out. The slight synthetic edge is noticeable if you're a hardcore fragrance enthusiast, but the average person won't know the difference. Is the original ten times better? No way. Buy this and save your money.
