Is it Worth It?
This is a fantastic clone of Oud Bouquet. If you love the original but can’t stomach the price tag, this is a no-brainer. The slightly synthetic edge in the opening is forgivable considering the massive price difference. It's best for cooler weather, date nights, or special occasions. Honestly, unless you're a hardcore Oud Bouquet devotee who needs every subtle nuance, Montagne's version is more than good enough. Save your money.
Olfactory Experience
Aoud Bouquet by Montagne opens with a blast of saffron. It’s potent, maybe a touch more synthetic than the Lancome original. That initial sharpness mellows quickly into a velvety rose and oud accord. Montagne nails the central rose-oud combination; it’s rich and jammy. The drydown brings a sugary praline note forward, blended nicely with vanilla. It's cozy, not cloying. I'd say this is 85-95% similar to the original. The biggest difference lies in that slightly harsher opening, and perhaps a touch less depth in the oud itself.
Projection Power
Longevity is impressive. I get a solid 7-8 hours on my skin. Projection is moderate, creating a noticeable scent bubble for the first few hours before settling closer. It's not a beast, but it performs respectably . Two sprays are enough; any more and it could become overwhelming, especially indoors.
