Notes & Nuances
Elysian Zest aims for the breezy, citrus-marine vibe of Roja Dove's Elysium, and it gets pretty close. The opening is a blast of grapefruit and lemon – maybe a touch sharper and more synthetic than the real deal, but it's invigorating. The vetiver heart is there, supported by a hint of juniper. I don't get much black currant, which is fine by me. The ambergris base is definitely present, though it leans a bit more ambroxan heavy than the smoother ambergris in Elysium. The leather is subtle, a grounding element more than a main player. I'd say it's 95% similar. The main difference? Elysium is smoother, more refined.
The Performance Stats
This is where Elysian Zest shines. It projects moderately for the first 2-3 hours, leaving a nice scent trail. Then it settles closer to the skin for another 5-6 hours. Overall, expect a solid 8+ hours of wear. Not beast mode, but respectable.
