Is it Worth It?
Hacienda is a great daily driver, particularly for the office or casual wear. It's clean, fresh, and mass-appealing. While not a perfect clone, it captures the essence .
The Scent Profile
Hacienda opens with that familiar pineapple blast, trying its best to mimic Hacivat. You get a bright, slightly tart grapefruit that keeps it refreshing. Montagne did a decent job here; it's about 95% of the way there. The biggest difference is a slightly rougher, more synthetic edge to the pineapple in Hacienda, especially on first spray. As it settles, the cedar and patchouli heart emerge, lending a woodsy, almost green character. The drydown is where it really diverges; the oakmoss isn't as rich or complex as the original, replaced by more generic woody notes. It still smells good, but the magic is dialed back.
Wear time & Sillage
This isn't a beast, but it does perform reasonably well. I get about 6-7 hours of noticeable projection, pushing out a foot or two. It then fades to a skin scent for another 3-4 hours. that's solid. You might want to overspray a touch.
