Le Bonbon opens pretty darn close to Baccarat Rouge 540. You get that unmistakable saffron and jasmine combo right away, that sweet, slightly medicinal, almost caramelized sugar vibe. Montagne Parfums did a solid job. It’s maybe 85-95% similar. The biggest difference? The dry down. Where BR540 stays airy and almost ethereal, Le Bonbon leans a little heavier on the amberwood and fir resin. It's a touch woodier and less sparkly. Still pleasant, but a bit denser. Not necessarily a bad thing, just different.
The Performance Stats
Performance is surprisingly good. I get about 6-7 hours on my skin, which is respectable. Projection is moderate for the first 2-3 hours, leaving a noticeable scent trail.
