How it Smells
Hummingbird Impression bursts forth with an initial shimmer of tart green apple and a distinct cherry cough syrup note. The citrus element feels somewhat muted, overshadowed by a saccharine intensity. The heart leans heavily into a syrupy honey accord, verging on cloying. The honeysuckle emerges subtly, adding a touch of floral sweetness, but the mimosa is practically undetectable to my nose. As it dries, a plasticky amber note takes center stage, underpinned by a powdery coumarin that evokes a slightly stale, sugared almond scent. The promised creamy element is faint, barely softening the synthetic edge of the amber.
Is it Worth It?
This fragrance is for the individual who embraces unapologetic sweetness and thrives in close quarters. Perhaps a content creator curating ASMR videos, enveloping their space in a hyper-realistic, almost artificial, confectionery aroma. It suits a personality that is bubbly and vivacious, yet perhaps a touch naive, someone who prefers candied delights over natural landscapes.
Longevity & Projection
Longevity is surprisingly tenacious, clinging to the skin for around 6-7 hours. Projection, however, is moderate, extending just beyond arm's length for the first two hours before settling closer to the skin. I tested this at an outdoor cafe on a warm afternoon. While it didn’t fade completely, it did struggle to cut through the surrounding aromas of coffee and blooming jasmine.
