Now by Rave attempts to mimic the renowned Aventus, and achieves a semblance of its structure. The opening presents a dominant pineapple note, supported by a slightly acidic bergamot. The apple is less pronounced than in the Creed original. It's a bright, albeit somewhat synthetic, fruity blast to start. The heart attempts to replicate the birch and jasmine accord, but the birch leans more towards a smoky, almost burnt rubber aroma, rather than the refined leathery smokiness found in Aventus. The patchouli is present, adding an earthy counterpoint. The base consists of a musky accord, with a noticeable vanilla influence. Oakmoss is listed, but it's heavily muted, sacrificing the depth and complexity of the original’s drydown. Overall, I’d say this captures approximately 75% of the Aventus DNA.

Projection Power

Longevity is moderate, clocking in at around 5-6 hours on skin. Projection is initially strong for the first hour, creating a noticeable scent bubble, but then quickly settles closer to the skin. Do not expect room-filling performance. If you're looking for a scent profile reminiscent of the iconic fragrance without breaking the bank, this is a decent option. However, be prepared for some synthetic edges, particularly in the opening and the birch accord. However, the refinement and nuance in the original are undeniable. This is suitable for casual wear, but not a replacement for the real thing if you prioritize quality.
