Scent Breakdown
8th Wonder tries hard to mimic Hacivat, and gets respectably close – say, 91%. The opening blasts with pineapple, grapefruit, and bergamot. The pineapple isn't quite as juicy and natural as Hacivat's. It leans slightly more synthetic, giving it a sharper, less rounded edge. The heart introduces cedar and patchouli. The jasmine is subtle here, almost unnoticeable. Where it truly deviates is in the base. The oakmoss is present, but lacks the richness and depth found in the original. The woody notes are more generic. Overall, it's a bright, woody-fruity fragrance.
Longevity & Projection
Performance is decent . It lasts around 6-7 hours on my skin. Projection is moderate for the first 2 hours, then settles closer to the skin. You won't fill a room, but it creates a pleasant scent bubble. It's office-appropriate, certainly. Re-application might be needed for a full day's wear.
Final Thoughts
8th Wonder is a solid, affordable Hacivat alternative. If you're yearning for that pineapple-oakmoss combo but can't justify Nishane's price tag, this is a very viable option. The synthetic edge is noticeable, but not deal-breaking considering the massive price difference. If you value that extra layer of refinement and natural ingredients, maybe. But for everyday wear, 8th Wonder gets the job done admirably for budget-conscious enthusiasts.
