Our objective metric for performance per dollar.
Is it Worth It?
For the budget-conscious, Z38 is a decent substitute. It's not a perfect dupe, and the synthetic undertones are noticeable if you're familiar with Good Girl. However, if you crave that sweet, floral gourmand profile without dropping serious cash, this is a viable option. If you want the real deal and can afford it, go for it. But for everyday wear, Z38 scratches the itch without breaking the bank. A solid choice for those who prioritize affordability.
First Impressions & Dry Down
Z38 attempts a faithful recreation of Good Girl, and comes respectably close. The opening hits you with that familiar sweet almond and coffee combo, though it lacks the smooth refinement of the original. There's a slightly synthetic edge, particularly in the initial blast. The heart blooms into a tuberose and jasmine blend, again, a touch rougher than the Carolina Herrera version. The drydown leans heavily on tonka bean and vanilla, providing a warm, gourmand finish that's comforting, even if the cacao is rather muted. I'd say it captures about 85% of Good Girl's DNA.
Projection Power
Don't expect beast mode performance. Z38 projects moderately for the first hour or two, then settles closer to the skin. I got about 5-6 hours of noticeable wear. It's acceptable point, but requires reapplication if you want it to last all day.
