While cardamom is present, it lacks the vibrancy of the original, instead merging with a synthetic ginger note that presents a slight soapy undertone. The orange blossom is a ghost; only a suggestion of floral sweetness remains. The drydown reveals a subdued amber, lacking depth, alongside a muted tobacco with an ashy edge rather than a sweet pipe tobacco. Cedar is a linear, pencil-shaving accord, failing to adequately anchor the composition. The absence of depth translates into a flat, somewhat synthetic experience, especially compared to the richer layers of its muse.
