The opening salvo of geranium and coriander is present, but slightly harsher around the edges, a touch more synthetic than the smoother original. It's in the heart where the differences widen. The clove and saffron are dialed down, while the cinnamon feels amped up. This shifts the profile from a sophisticated leather to something spicier and a bit more brash. The drydown is where Ghayath clings closest to Iberian Leather, delivering a pleasing, if somewhat linear, leather, oud, and patchouli accord. I'd say it's roughly 92% close to the Memo fragrance.

Bottom Line

Ghayath is a solid budget alternative to Iberian Leather. If you crave the Memo fragrance but can't stomach the price tag, this will scratch that itch. The synthetic edges are noticeable, especially in the opening and mid, but they're forgivable considering the value. If you're price-conscious and looking for a leather and spice fragrance, Ghayath is worth a blind buy. Just don't expect niche quality.

The Performance Stats

Longevity is surprisingly good. On my skin, I get around 6-7 hours, which is perfectly acceptable for a clone. Projection is moderate for the first 2 hours, then settles closer to the skin. It projects decently at first, so expect some compliments when first applied.
