Scent Breakdown
Treasure opens with a sharply tart grapefruit, almost bordering on bitter rind, intertwined with a candied mandarin. The initial blast is invigorating, similar to peeling citrus outdoors on a cold morning, but lacks the sun-drenched warmth of the inspiration. The heart introduces a green, almost grassy galbanum note which is quickly dominated by a powdery, somewhat metallic ambrette. This creates a cold distance, like standing in a modern art gallery – clean lines and untouchable surfaces. The dry down is where the divergence becomes most apparent. The amberwood presents as aggressively synthetic, projecting a woody, scratchy texture, a far cry from natural amber. The leather attempts to add some grounding depth but ends up smelling like vinyl car seats in the midday heat.
Bottom Line
If Treasure were a character, it would be a junior executive, impeccably dressed but lacking genuine charm and depth. They exude confidence, but the cracks begin to show under pressure, revealing a forced persona rather than authentic self-assurance. This is a scent for someone who wants to project a sophisticated image but hasn’t quite mastered the art of genuine style.
How Long Does it Last?
On my skin, Treasure lasted for approximately 6 hours. The projection is initially quite strong, extending a full arm's length for the first hour, then gradually receding to a skin scent within 3 hours. I wore this while running errands and during a light workout; the synthetic amberwood became cloying and slightly headache-inducing with increased body temperature.
