Is it Worth It?

Spiritus by Borouj offers a compelling Aventus-inspired experience . While it doesn’t entirely replicate the depth and nuance of Creed’s creation, it captures the essence remarkably well. If you enjoy the Aventus DNA but can’t justify the price, Spiritus is a worthy alternative. It's a solid choice for everyday wear and casual settings. However, for those prioritizing value and accessibility, Spiritus is a viable option.

First Impressions & Dry Down

Spiritus opens with a burst of pineapple and bergamot. The apple is present, but subdued compared to some Aventus batches. It's clearly striving for that smoky pineapple opening, achieving approximately 87% accuracy. The birch heart emerges quickly, imparting a leathery smokiness alongside a delicate jasmine note. Patchouli is present, adding earthiness, though it lacks the refined quality of the Creed original. The dry down reveals a blend of musk and oakmoss, providing a familiar masculine base. The vanilla attempts to smooth out any rough edges, but a slight synthetic ambergris note is detectable. It is notably less refined than the original Aventus' ambergris accord.

The Performance Stats

Longevity is respectable. I get a solid 6-7 hours on skin, with moderate projection for the first 2 hours before settling closer to the skin. Sillage is present but not overpowering. It performs adequately for its price point.
