Scent Breakdown

Aether opens with a blast of tart green apple – definitely the star here, just like Greenley. You get a citrusy lift from the bergamot and mandarin, but the apple dominates. The heart offers a pleasant, slightly soapy petitgrain with a woody backbone. It’s where the fragrances diverge; Aether leans heavier on the cashmeran, giving it a fuzzier feel than Greenley’s crisp cedar. The drydown is an oakmoss-amberwood mix, a bit more synthetic than the original, but still quite pleasant. I'd say it gets you 86% of the way to Greenley.

Longevity & Projection

Projection is moderate for the first hour, creating a nice scent bubble. After that, it settles closer to the skin. Longevity is decent; I get about 6-7 hours on my skin. It's not a beast, but it hangs around long enough to enjoy. Reapplication might be needed for a full workday. There are some slightly synthetic edges in the drydown, but it's hard to complain. Perfect for spring and summer days, office wear, or casual outings. Aether gets the job done.
