First Impressions & Dry Down

Ambroise comes out swinging with a bold cherry, not the medicinal kind, but a syrupy, almost liqueur-like sweetness. It leans heavily into the fruity accord initially, more so than Cherry Oud. The rose duo arrives pretty quickly, a classic Turkish/Bulgarian blend that adds a touch of powdery elegance. The base isn't shy either; a moderately animalic oud is blended with smooth leather. It lacks some of the refined complexity of the Guerlain; the synthetic edges of the materials are noticeable, especially in the drydown. But ? I'd say it's 80-80% there. The biggest difference is that initial cherry blast is more pronounced in Ambroise.

How Long Does it Last?

This stuff performs like a beast. I get a solid 7-8 hours on skin, and it projects nicely for the first 2-3 hours. Two sprays are enough; anything more and you might overwhelm those around you. It's definitely got some serious sillage.
