Fragrance World's Arabians Tonka is clearly trying hard. The opening hits you with saffron and a touch of bergamot, like the Montale, but it's rougher around the edges. The original has a brighter, almost candied saffron. This leans more medicinal initially. The heart develops with a fairly realistic oud and rose accord. It's not as refined as the Montale; there's a definite synthetic edge. The drydown is where it shines. Tonka bean, amberwood, and woody notes create a warm, sweet base. It aims for that signature smooth, nutty-sweet finish, and it gets respectably close. I'd say it's 95% there. The main difference is that missing *sparkle* of quality ingredients.

If you crave the Arabians Tonka DNA but can't stomach the Montale price tag, this is a decent option. It's not a perfect dupe. It lacks the refinement and nuance of the original. However, you get a very similar scent profile and strong performance. This is for the budget-conscious fragrance enthusiast. This is a smart buy.

This packs a punch. I got a solid 7-8 hours of noticeable projection. Not beast mode, but definitely present. Longevity is impressive, lingering as a skin scent for 10+ hours. the performance is truly commendable. You get your money's worth.
