Scent Breakdown
Azzure Aoud jumps right into the passionfruit, but it's not quite as photorealistic as Oud Maracuja. There's a slightly sharper, almost candied edge here – think passionfruit flavored hard candy. The saffron is dialed back compared to the original, which makes it a touch less complex in the opening. As it dries, you get a decent, if somewhat synthetic-smelling, oud that's blended with a clean patchouli and a sweet benzoin. The leather in the base is smooth and subtle, adding a touch of sophistication. It's maybe 88% similar to Oud Maracuja, losing some of the original's natural depth and nuance in exchange for a bolder, sweeter profile.
How Long Does it Last?
This stuff performs. I'm getting a solid 6-7 hours on skin with moderate projection for the first 2 hours. It becomes more of a skin scent after that, but it's definitely noticeable. the longevity is impressive. Don't overspray; it can be a bit cloying if you do.
Bottom Line
Azzure Aoud is a great option It's a fun, fruity-oud that's perfect for spring and summer evenings. I would wear this on a date. While the original is undoubtedly higher quality, this clone captures the essence well enough. If you want something that smells expensive without breaking the bank, give this a shot.
