Fragrance World's Bergamask opens with a bracing bergamot note, though it lacks the effervescent quality of a true citrus fruit; instead, it leans into a slightly acrid grapefruit rind facet. The lemon is a fleeting impression, quickly overtaken by a soapy orange blossom. Lavender is present, but muted, contributing a herbal, vaguely medicinal tone that doesn't quite integrate. The drydown showcases a clean musk, bordering on sterile, coupled with a sandalwood accord that reads more like Iso E Super - pencil shavings, amplified. Cedar is barely detectable. In direct comparison, this deviates significantly from the original's animalic musk; this is far cleaner, and lacks the compelling, almost feral undertone.

How Long Does it Last?

Longevity is moderate, persisting for approximately 6 hours on skin. Projection is initially strong, radiating about an arm's length for the first hour, then quickly subsiding to a skin scent. Tested in both indoor and outdoor environments, the performance remained consistent. The synthetic musk becomes more prominent and somewhat cloying in warmer temperatures.
