Notes & Nuances
Qawha opens with a familiar burst. That signature pineapple is present, but it's a touch more candied, less naturally tart than Aventus. The bergamot and apple dance alongside, creating a bright, almost sparkling effect. It's recognizable as an Aventus interpretation, perhaps 85% there. The heart reveals a smoky birch note, though slightly muted compared to the Creed original. The jasmine and patchouli are present but act more as supporting players. The drydown leans heavily into a creamy musk and vanilla. This is where it deviates most, feeling less oakmoss-driven and more overtly sweet.
Is it Worth It?
Qawha is a good option if you're Aventus-curious but allergic to the Creed price tag. The opening is well-executed, capturing the essence of the inspiration. It's not a perfect dupe, the vanilla-heavy drydown being the most significant difference. But, given the massive price difference, the compromise is acceptable. The original IS better, but is it ten times better? Probably not.
Wear time & Sillage
Longevity is surprisingly decent. I get a solid 6-7 hours on skin, projecting moderately for the first two. It becomes a skin scent, but a pleasant one. It doesn't scream, which may be a plus for some.
