Cuir Leather is best suited for cooler weather, making it a solid choice for fall and winter days. Its boldness makes it appropriate for casual outings, weekend coffee runs, or even a night at a dimly lit bar. It's not quite refined enough for formal events, but perfect for when you want a confident, edgy leather scent without feeling the need to baby it.

How it Smells

Cuir Leather kicks off with a blast of spicy cardamom – less freshly ground, more like the pre-ground jar you find in the back of your pantry. The leather emerges quickly, a dark, almost motor oil slicked hide with a slightly acrid twang. The jasmine is subdued, more of a floral whisper than a full-blown bloom. As it dries down, the amber adds a touch of sweetness, but the moss and patchouli are surprisingly muted, resulting in a drydown that leans a bit plasticky, like opening a new car interior on a scorching summer day. It’s similar to the inspiration, but lacks the nuanced complexity and smoother edges; the original has a velvety texture this one cannot quite replicate.

Longevity & Projection

Longevity is surprisingly good, clocking in around 7-8 hours. Projection is moderate for the first hour, radiating about an arm's length, then settles closer to the skin for the remainder of its lifespan. I wore this while running errands on a chilly day and found it held up well; it’s not overpowering but provides a consistent, masculine presence.
