Dusk The Woods goes straight for the Layton vibe. That apple and vanilla combo is immediately recognizable, maybe 88% close to the original. The opening is a tad sharper, a little more synthetic apple than Layton's smoother profile. The heart leans into the floral notes a bit more, with the violet coming through stronger. Not a bad thing, just different. The drydown is where it comes closest to the original. The vanilla, patchouli, and woods create a warm, slightly gourmand base that's very appealing.
