Olfactory Experience

Electric Cherry by Fragrance World opens with an aggressively synthetic cherry accord, reminiscent more of cherry cough syrup than ripe fruit. The ginger attempts to temper the initial sweetness but reads instead as a sharp, metallic tang. The heart introduces a thin jasmine sambac, lacking the indolic depth expected. Here, it diverges significantly from its inspiration, becoming a linear, somewhat shrill floral. The base is where the composition truly falters; the pink pepper is acrid, not bright, mingling with an ambrettolide that leans heavily into a plasticky musk. The drydown lacks any real warmth, leaving behind a synthetic acetone edge that lingers unpleasantly.

How Long Does it Last?

Longevity clocks in around 4 hours on skin. Projection is initially strong at about an arm's length but quickly diminishes to a skin scent within an hour. Tested in both controlled indoor and outdoor environments. Regardless of setting, the synthetic nature of the materials dominates.
