Our objective metric for performance per dollar.
The Scent Profile
Enigma Quatre is a rose bomb, plain and simple. It opens with a blast of sweet, jammy rose – primarily Damask, I think. It's a fairly linear fragrance, and the "heart" notes of Bulgarian and Moroccan Rose barely shift the scent profile. The dry down attempts to add depth with patchouli and honey, but the rose remains dominant. Compared to Love by Chopard, this clone lands around 88% accurate. It mimics the overall rosy sweetness but lacks the refinement and complexity of the original. There's a slight synthetic edge, especially in the opening, that betrays its budget origins.
Longevity & Projection
This is where Enigma Quatre truly shines... . I get a solid 6-7 hours of wear. Projection is moderate for the first two hours, creating a pleasant scent bubble. Afterwards, it sits closer to the skin. It's definitely potent enough for most situations, but not overpowering.
The Verdict
If you crave a rose-centric fragrance and refuse to pay niche prices, Enigma Quatre is a viable option. It's a good rendition of Love by Chopard, especially considering the price difference.
