Scent Breakdown
Giovanni Lorenzi Lumin kicks off with a blast of candied orange peel – not quite natural, but definitely attention-grabbing. There's a pineapple accord fighting to be heard beneath the orange, lending it a slightly artificial, pulpy character akin to pineapple gummy candy. The ozonic heart introduces a cool, almost metallic edge which clashes slightly with the sweet opening. I definitely pick up a laundry detergent vibe, but it doesn't necessarily detract. The base is where it starts to diverge. While the original leans into sophisticated woods, this dries down to a powdery musk with a noticeable synthetic sandalwood that smells a bit like pencil shavings.
How Long Does it Last?
I got around 6 hours on my skin with moderate projection – about an arm's length for the first 2 hours before settling closer. I wore this on a grocery run and again while working from home. It's a casual scent that doesn't demand much, but it also won't turn heads.
To Buy or Not to Buy?
If this scent were a character in a movie, it would be the well-meaning but slightly awkward sidekick in a romantic comedy, always trying to help but sometimes missing the mark.
