Final Thoughts
Hibiscus Magic is a decent budget alternative if you're curious about the Hibiscus Mahajad DNA. it's respectable. It captures the general vibe, but it's a simplified, less refined version. If you need a true 1:1 experience, save for the real deal. If you want a fun, affordable floral-leather that gets you in the ballpark, Hibiscus Magic does the trick. Good for casual wear, but not for making a statement.
How it Smells
Hibiscus Magic aims for the bright, floral-leather of Hibiscus Mahajad. The opening delivers a decent hibiscus and rose punch, though it lacks the nuanced brightness of the original. Here, it's a bit sharper, more synthetic. The cinnamon and ambrette in the heart are present, adding warmth, but the blend isn't as seamless. The drydown introduces vanilla and a noticeable leather note. The mint is MIA to my nose. Side-by-side, it’s about 95% similar; missing the sophisticated sparkle and depth of the Crivelli. The original has a photorealistic rose, this has rose scented playdough.
The Performance Stats
Longevity is surprisingly good . I get a solid 6-7 hours on skin, projecting moderately for the first two. It quickly becomes a skin scent after that. On clothes, it sticks around longer, maybe 8-10 hours, but the projection is minimal. Don't expect beast mode.
