Jubilant opens with a dark, fruity accord dominated by blackberry and a prominent, incense-like olibanum. There's a bitter orange note present but it lacks the vibrancy of the Amouage original. The heart attempts the complex honey-wood-spice accord of Jubilation XXV. Here, the guaiac wood is dialed up, imparting a slightly smoky and harsher edge. The honey is present, but registers as more synthetic, losing the natural sweetness. The drydown replicates the original's base of opoponax, oud, and myrrh, but falls short. The oud is less refined, with a noticeably synthetic quality. Overall, it captures approximately 90% of the original's DNA.

Projection Power

Longevity is moderate; expect around 6-7 hours on skin. Projection is initially strong, filling a room, but quickly settles to a more intimate bubble within the first hour. It fades to a skin scent after 4 hours.

Conclusion

Jubilant by Fragrance World is a competent clone of Jubilation XXV. The initial blast is impressive, but the synthetic edges become more apparent as it dries down. If you appreciate the Jubilation XXV DNA but find the original's price prohibitive, this is a worthwhile option. However, be aware that it lacks the depth and smoothness of the Amouage creation. But for casual wear, this does the trick.
