La Nuit Rose opens with a noticeable citrus burst, tangerine and bergamot are prominent, joined by a juicy pear note. It attempts to mimic the original's fruity sweetness but with a brighter, almost acidic edge that smells slightly synthetic. The heart reveals a vanilla orchid, strawberry, and black rose accord. The rose leans sweeter, less dark and jammy compared to La Nuit Tresor's Bulgarian rose. The dry down presents praline and caramel; these notes aim to replicate the gourmand base. However, here is where the clone deviates most. The litchi adds a tartness that's distracting. The original’s smooth patchouli is completely absent. I'd estimate it to be 84% similar to La Nuit Tresor, with noticeable differences in the rose and base.

Final Thoughts

La Nuit Rose is a decent budget option for those seeking a La Nuit Tresor impression. It captures the general sweetness and fruity rose vibe, but synthetic nuances are apparent, especially in the opening and drydown. However, if you are ok with a sweet rose scent that lasts a few hours and costs a fraction of the original, this is a viable option. It’s suitable for casual wear or as an introductory gourmand fragrance for younger audiences.

How Long Does it Last?

Longevity is moderate. I got around 5 hours on skin with moderate projection for the first hour, settling closer to the skin afterwards. On fabric, it extends to 7-8 hours. It's adequate, but doesn't possess the lasting power of the original.
