This is a fall evening scent, suitable for casual outings where subtlety isn't a priority. It might work in an office setting, but only if applied very sparingly. I wouldn't recommend it for formal events or hot weather. It's a decent, mass-appealing fragrance, but the synthetic undertones prevent it from being truly sophisticated.

Ombre Leather 33 opens with a spicy cardamom that leans towards ginger ale – pleasant, but not as sharply defined as the inspiration. The leather emerges quickly, a sueded imitation rather than tanned hide. There's a floral sweetness attempting to mimic jasmine, yet it reads more like artificial grape candy. As it dries, the amber becomes dominant, creating a warm, almost cloying blanket. The moss and patchouli base provide a touch of earthiness, but a persistent vinyl note lingers, preventing it from achieving any real depth. It diverges with a syrupy amber overload, missing the dry, dusty elegance of the original.

How Long Does it Last?

Longevity clocks in around 5-6 hours, becoming a skin scent after the first two. Projection is moderate, reaching about an arm's length for the initial hour before fading. I tested it indoors and outdoors; humidity seems to amplify the sweeter notes, making it a bit sickly in warmer weather.
