Scent Breakdown
Riche & Royal Intense comes out swinging with a bright, juicy blood orange and lemon, just like K by Dolce & Gabbana. The juniper adds a nice, slightly piney freshness. The heart is where it starts to deviate. You get the geranium and lavender, but the clary sage feels a little dialed back compared to the original. The drydown is a woody patchouli with vetiver giving it an earthy, masculine backbone. It's about 81% close to K, but it has slightly sharper, synthetic edges, especially in the opening.
Is it Worth It?
If you like K by Dolce & Gabbana but don't want to drop the cash, Riche & Royal Intense is a great option. It’s not a perfect match, but it gets you pretty darn close. The synthetic tinge is noticeable upon initial spray, but it fades quickly. If you're okay with a slightly less refined version of K, this is a no-brainer. The original is great, but is it ten times better? Absolutely not. This is a fantastic daily driver for the office or casual wear. Recommended for anyone looking for an affordable and versatile crowd-pleaser.
Projection Power
Longevity is surprisingly good. I get about 6-7 hours on my skin. Projection is moderate for the first hour, then it sits closer to the skin. Not a room filler, but you'll definitely get noticed in close encounters. A solid performer, especially point.
