Spectre Ghost attempts to replicate Kilian's Black Phantom, achieving approximately 95% accuracy. The opening presents a boozy rum note, adequately supported by almond. However, the almond leans slightly synthetic, lacking the natural marzipan depth of the original. The heart introduces coffee, a crucial element, though here it is more of a generic "coffee accord" rather than a rich, roasted bean. I detect only a fleeting whisper of the promised cyanide note; this is a significant deviation from Black Phantom's intriguing bitter edge. The base of vanilla, sandalwood, and vetiver is where the clone most closely mimics the original, providing a sweet and woody grounding, though the vetiver lacks the earthiness that balances Kilian's offering.

Final Thoughts

Spectre Ghost offers an acceptable approximation of Black Phantom . While it misses the mark on certain nuances and utilizes some synthetic ingredients, the core DNA is present. If you are intrigued by Black Phantom but unwilling to commit to the high price tag, Spectre Ghost is a reasonable compromise. However, those seeking the full complexity and quality of the original will likely be disappointed. But the superior ingredients are noticeable.

Longevity & Projection

Longevity is moderate. I observed around 5-6 hours on my skin, with the projection initially strong for the first hour, quickly fading to a skin scent thereafter. This is weaker than the original, which projects significantly longer. Expect to reapply.
