Suspenso opens with a blast of lavender and a noticeable aquatic accord. The basil is present, but muted. It's a decent approximation of Pour Homme Intenso's opening, perhaps 88% similar, lacking some of the original's sharp, mineral edge. The heart features a prominent tobacco note, layered with a hay-like sweetness and a green clary sage. The tobacco here leans slightly synthetic, a common trait in clones. It deviates more noticeably from the original in the mid, where Intenso showcases a bolder, drier tobacco leaf. The base consists of sandalwood, cypress and musk, offering a woody-amber finish. It's a far simpler drydown compared to Intenso, which has a creamier texture.

The Performance Stats

Longevity is moderate. I get about 5-6 hours on skin. Projection is initially strong for the first hour, then settles into a skin scent within 2 hours. Decent performance point, but it doesn't reach the level of the original in terms of sillage. While it doesn't perfectly replicate the original's complexity and high-quality ingredients, it captures the essence of the fragrance. A good option for those looking for a similar scent profile on a tight budget. If you crave the polished sophistication of the original and don't mind spending significantly more, then stick with Pour Homme Intenso. Otherwise, Suspenso offers a respectable, everyday wear option.
