Notes & Nuances
The opening is a harsh grapefruit cleaner note, quickly mellowing into a generic "spicy" accord. The cardamom is present but feels flattened, lacking the depth of real spice. There’s an underlying sweetness hinting at tobacco, but it's closer to brown sugar than aged leaves. The cedar in the base presents a synthetic, pencil-shaving dryness that clashes with the amber, giving a slightly sour, off-putting edge instead of warmth. It resembles the impression of The One, but a simplified, cheaper version. The individual notes are recognizable, yet the blend is unbalanced and lacks refinement. The overall experience leans towards a linear, simple aroma that doesn't evolve much over time.
Wear time & Sillage
I get a maximum of four hours on skin, maybe five on clothing. Projection is initially within arm's reach for about an hour, then quickly fades to a skin scent. Tested in a climate-controlled office, it performs adequately, but I doubt it would hold up in warmer weather.
To Buy or Not to Buy?
This is an evening scent, best suited for cooler months. It is safe enough for casual outings. However, due to its underwhelming performance and simplistic construction, I would hesitate to recommend it for anything formal or intimate.
