Olfactory Experience
Vie Feu opens with a saffron blast – not subtle, but definitely there. The bergamot is a fleeting whisper, gone before you really register it. It aims for Azaran's rich saffron leather, but lands closer to a budget interpretation. The green tea in the heart tries to add some freshness, but struggles against a synthetic cedar note. The drydown is where it gets interesting. A waxy leather accord emerges, hinting at the beeswax, but it's less refined, more… blunt. Compared to Azaran? Maybe 81% in the ballpark. The original has a smoother blend and higher quality ingredients. This one has a slight harshness in the transitions.
Wear time & Sillage
Longevity is surprisingly decent. I get about 6 hours on skin, projecting moderately for the first hour. After that, it settles closer to the skin as a pleasant, leathery hum. I can't complain. You'll probably need to reapply if you're going out for the evening.
Is it Worth It?
Vie Feu is a solid budget option if you’re curious about Bvlgari Azaran but balk at the price tag. It's not a perfect dupe; the original has more depth and complexity. But at a tenth of the price, it's a respectable alternative. If you value smooth refinement above all else, save for Azaran. This is perfect for someone who wants a daily wear, fall/winter scent that they don't have to worry about over spraying.
