Vie Sol is a respectable stand-in for La Gemme Kobraa. you get a scent profile that's similar enough to scratch the itch. If you crave the luxurious smoothness and nuances of the original, save up. But if you're a value-conscious fragrance lover who appreciates the general vibe, this is a solid option. But subjectively, for many, the answer will be a resounding no. This is a great daily wear option for those who enjoy oud-forward fragrances without breaking the bank.

The Scent Profile

Vie Sol attempts to mimic Bvlgari's Kobraa, and gets surprisingly close, maybe 85%. The geranium opening is there, a touch more abrasive than the original's smoother rendition. It's a bit rough around the edges, a telltale sign of budget ingredients. The olibanum heart is the strongest resemblance. Incense is present and accounted for. The drydown aims for oud, but it’s a more synthetic, woody amber accord that lasts. Kobraa's smoother, richer oud isn't quite replicated here.

Projection Power

Longevity is acceptable . Expect around 5-6 hours on skin, maybe a bit longer on clothes. Projection is moderate for the first hour, then settles closer to the skin. It's not a beast, but it does its job. Reapplication is recommended for all-day wear.
