How it Smells
Rose D'Prive by French Avenue is a decent crack at Armani's Rose D'Arabie. The opening hits you with a noticeable saffron note, maybe a bit more pronounced and synthetic than the real deal. The heart is where the rose shines, a solid Damask, though lacking the depth and velvety texture of the original. You get the patchouli, a touch earthy, and the violet adds a powdery sweetness. The dry down introduces the oud and vanilla, but the oud here feels… thinner. It’s a respectable imitation, I'd say it captures around 75-85% of the Armani DNA. The biggest difference is the quality of the ingredients, specifically the rose and oud.
How Long Does it Last?
The performance is surprisingly good point. On my skin, I get about 6-7 hours of noticeable wear. Projection is moderate for the first hour or two, then it settles closer to the skin. Not beast mode, but certainly not weak. Decent .
The Verdict
If you're craving the Rose D'Arabie experience on a tight budget, Rose D'Prive is a viable option. It's a solid everyday scent, great for cooler weather or evening wear. If you're okay with a slightly synthetic edge and don't need the absolute best, this is a winner.
