First Impressions & Dry Down
Electro Cherry opens with a blast of candied cherry, unfortunately leaning towards artificial cherry lollipop rather than fresh fruit. There's a fleeting ginger note, quickly overwhelmed by the cloying sweetness. The heart attempts to introduce jasmine sambac, but it's a faint whisper lost in the sugary storm. In the base, the pink pepper adds a needed prickle, but the musk and ambrettolide produce a slightly doughy effect, lacking depth. Compared to its inspiration, this rendition misses the sophisticated nuance, the complex layers found in the original. It comes across as a simpler, louder, and less refined interpretation. The original balances the tartness and spice, whereas this focuses almost solely on the saccharine side.
Final Thoughts
This is best suited for spring or cooler summer evenings, though even then, apply with restraint. Daytime wear might be better, though I struggle to think of an appropriate setting for this profile other than a casual meet-up. This is an immature, fun, fragrance. It lacks the sophistication for formal occasions.
How Long Does it Last?
On my skin, Electro Cherry lasted roughly four hours. Projection is moderate for the first hour, extending about an arm's length. After that, it quickly becomes a skin scent. I wore it during a casual afternoon shopping trip, and it felt somewhat appropriate, but its sweetness could become tiring in enclosed spaces.
