Roses Amalfi opens with a playful sparkle – pink peppercorns popping against the zesty tang of freshly peeled mandarin. The bergamot adds a brisk, green counterpoint. It mimics the essence of Rose D'Amalfi closely in the opening, but quickly deviates with an amplified almond note. Where the original hints at powdery sweetness, this clone dives headfirst into marzipan. The rose itself is a jammy, almost candied version; less photorealistic bloom, more rosewater Turkish delight. The heliotrope adds a layer of comforting vanilla, but the drydown carries a slightly cloying density, a faint synthetic edge that recalls cherry cough syrup, especially if oversprayed.

Longevity & Projection

Longevity is moderate, clinging to the skin for around 5-6 hours. Projection is initially strong, filling a room for the first hour, then settles closer, creating a personal bubble for the remaining time. I tested it during a busy workday and found it pleasant enough, though the candied rose became a touch much by the afternoon meeting.
