How it Smells

Blue Hole opens with that familiar blast of aquatic freshness, hitting you with a salty sea breeze and a crisp mint. The lavender is there, but dialed down compared to Cool Water. It's about 81% similar right out of the gate. The heart brings in a slightly creamy sandalwood and neroli. This is where it deviates most. Cool Water has a sharper green edge; Blue Hole is smoother, less aggressive. The drydown is all about clean musk with a whisper of tobacco. Oakmoss is listed, but it’s barely detectable to my nose.

Projection Power

Okay, let’s be real. This isn’t a powerhouse. Projection is moderate for the first hour, then it settles close to the skin. I get about 4 hours of noticeable wear. Reapplication is necessary if you want it to last the day. that's acceptable. It’s not a perfect match, trading some of the original's sharper edges for a smoother, more modern feel. If you want a dead ringer, stick with Cool Water. However, for $20, Blue Hole is a great daily driver for the gym, running errands, or just wanting to smell fresh without breaking the bank. If you're on a tight budget or just want something casual and inoffensive, this is a good grab.
