How it Smells
Zara's New York aims for Calvin Klein's Eternity for Men. It gets close, maybe 86%. The opening is bright, a bit harsh with lemon and lavender, lacking the original's smoother, more natural feel. It's noticeably synthetic here, but not offensively so. The heart brings in sage and juniper, trying for that herbal freshness. It's less complex than Eternity; some of the original's green nuances are missing. The drydown is a decent sandalwood and musk, but lacks the depth of Eternity. It's a simplified, less refined take.
The Performance Stats
Don't expect miracles. New York projects moderately for about an hour. After that, it sits close to the skin. Longevity is around 4-5 hours on my skin. Definitely a re-application situation if you want to keep it going through the day. It's fine but it's no powerhouse.
To Buy or Not to Buy?
Zara's New York is a decent daily beater. If you want a passable Eternity experience without dropping a lot of cash, this will do.
