Nightfall Blue opens with a recognizable blast of Calabrian bergamot and pepper. The bergamot presents slightly sharper, less nuanced than Dior's Sauvage. The initial impression is approximately 87% similar; the difference residing in a certain synthetic edge present in Zara's rendition. The heart introduces a peppery accord dominated by Sichuan pepper alongside the advertised lavender and pink pepper. The lavender is subtle, providing only a muted floral counterpoint. The drydown leans heavily on Ambroxan and cedar. The labdanum remains in the background, adding a slight resinous depth. This base is drier, less creamy than the original Dior.

Is it Worth It?

Nightfall Blue achieves respectable cloning accuracy, landing at roughly 87% of Sauvage EDT's DNA. The noticeable difference is a slightly harsher, more synthetic feel, especially in the opening. If you desire the Sauvage DNA on a budget, Nightfall Blue is a worthy contender. However, be prepared for reduced performance and a less refined olfactory experience. But if budget is your primary concern, this scratches the itch effectively.
