The Verdict
Scent #2 is a solid daily driver if you like the Sauvage DNA but don't want to drop the cash. It's not a perfect replica, but close enough that most people won't know the difference. If you want the highest quality ingredients and refined blend, go for Dior. But if you're a student, on a budget, or just need something for the gym, this is a great option. For everyday wear? Zara will get the job done.
Notes & Nuances
Zara's Scent #2 is clearly aiming for Dior's Sauvage. Right off the bat, you get that bright, peppery bergamot. It's not quite as refined, a bit more synthetic smelling in the initial blast, maybe 87% similar. The heart leans heavily into the pepper, less of the smoother lavender found in Sauvage. The Ambroxan in the base is dialed up, giving it that familiar clean, slightly metallic vibe. Dries down with a noticeable cedar note, slightly more woody than Dior's version.
How Long Does it Last?
Okay, let's be real. This is a budget clone. Don't expect beast mode. I get about 4-5 hours of noticeable projection, then it sits closer to the skin. After 6 hours, it's pretty much a skin scent. that's acceptable. You'll need to reapply if you want it to last all day.
