Silver by Zara opens with a blast of grapefruit and marine notes, aiming for that Invictus Aqua vibe. It's instantly recognizable, hitting about 83% of the mark. The mandarin adds a touch of sweetness, but the opening leans slightly more synthetic than the OG. The heart develops with bay leaf and violet leaf, offering a similar aromatic freshness. Where it differs? The original has a smoother, more nuanced aquatic feel, while Silver has a slight harshness. The drydown is where the clone reveals itself. It's a simplified ambergris and guaiac wood base, lacking the depth and salty-smooth finish of the original's ambroxan.

Projection Power

Don’t expect miracles. This is a Zara fragrance. On my skin, Silver projects moderately for the first hour. It then settles into a skin scent that lasts for around 4-5 hours. Perfect for a quick errand or a gym session. Reapplication is needed to keep the vibe going. If you want that fresh, aquatic, and youthful energy without the designer price tag, this is a good pick. Its for the guy who wants to smell good at the gym or on a casual outing. But for everyday wear, Silver offers a compelling, if slightly rougher, version of the same vibe.
