However, for casual wear, and those seeking a sweet, inoffensive vanilla-pear scent, Sultry Pear offers a commendable and affordable option. A safe blind buy if you enjoy vanilla-based gourmands, but manage your expectations.

Scent Breakdown

Sultry Pear opens with a prominent, juicy pear, but it veers slightly more synthetic than the naturalistic pear found in La Belle. The bergamot is a fleeting presence, adding a touch of brightness that quickly fades. The heart introduces a vague floral accord, indistinct and blurring with the leather note, which is surprisingly present, albeit a muted suede. The drydown is where the similarities to La Belle are most evident. Vanilla dominates, creating a sweet, gourmand base. The vetiver provides a grounding earthiness, while the amber adds warmth.
