How it Smells
Zara's Tuberose is a solid J'adore interpretation, hitting about 82% of the mark. The opening is bright – that pear and melon combo is instantly recognizable. There's a bit of a synthetic edge here, a sharper fruitiness compared to J'adore’s smoother entrance. The heart is where it shines. The white floral mix of jasmine, lily-of-the-valley, and tuberose is well-balanced, though the tuberose is definitely dialed back a bit. The drydown is a simple musk and vanilla, with a whisper of blackberry that's more abstract than realistic. It lacks the depth and sophistication of the original's complex base.
Projection Power
Don't expect beast mode. Tuberose projects moderately for the first hour, creating a nice scent bubble. After that, it settles closer to the skin. Longevity is decent; I get around 4-5 hours on my skin. It's definitely an "everyday wear" kind of fragrance, needing a refresh if you want it to last all day. It's a pleasant, easy-to-wear floral that captures the essence of J'adore without breaking the bank. The extra refinement in J'adore is noticeable, but the Zara version is perfectly acceptable for everyday use.
