Vibrant Leather Metal explodes with a spiced sweetness that leans heavily on the caraway and saffron. This opening has a medicinal edge, like cherry cough syrup mixed with ground cumin. The pepper is present but quickly overshadowed. As it dries, the vanilla and cinnamon emerge, creating a boozy impression, think dark rum rather than bourbon. The tobacco is noticeable, although it's more of a dry, pipe tobacco leaf than a sweet, cherry-flavored kind. The lavender in the base is muted, preventing this from becoming overly cloying. The vanilla gets a little synthetic towards the end, with an almost plasticky drydown that separates it a bit from its inspiration.
